Lionel Tiger is the Charles Darwin Professor of Anthropology at Rutgers University. His books include The Imperial Animal (with Robin Fox), The Decline of Males, The Pursuit of Pleasure, and The Apes of New York. Since the mid-1960s he has been deeply involved in bridging the gap between the natural and social sciences.
