Harriet Hall, Britt Marie Hermes, Elizabeth Loftus, and Kendrick Frazier have been elected fellows of GWUP, the German skeptics group. Also named were Mark Lynas, a British author, journalist, and environmentalist who focuses on climate change, and Bernhard Hoecker, a skeptical comedian. The announcement was published in GWUP’s magazine Skeptiker (4/2018).
“The GWUP is pleased to welcome further outstanding personalities of research, teaching and science communication as members of their Fellow Board,” the article said. “With their achievements in science and critical thinking, they have made a decisive contribution to the enlightened worldview.”
GWUP previously announced several other fellows, including Susan Blackmore, Mario Bunge, Edzard Ernst, Krista Federspiel, James Randi, and Simon Singh.
